Effie Award selects PMT’s judging system

As one of the most significant awards in advertising and marketing industry, Effie Award aims at recognizing the most effective marketing communication ideas across Hong Kong. It is now being run in 33 countries over 5 continents, and this year marked Effie Hong Kong’s twelfth edition since the HK4As first introduce this internationally acclaimed award to Hong Kong since 2004.

Adhere to Effie’s mission of encouraging effectiveness among the marketing communications industry, this year Effie Hong Kong deploy PMT’s online registration platform and award judging system to reduce paperwork and streamline the process. The online registration platform will guide the applicants step by step to ensure all the entry materials will be submitted as they are requested, and it will automatically organize and store the materials for the judging process.

Judges just need login the system to view and score entries anywhere with an Internet connection. Judges can also generate and review reports for all derived scores and clusters on the platform, so the head judge can check the reports to ensure fairness in the award.

In addition to Effie, PMT’s award judging system has been used in various international ICT competitions since 2013. APICTA is the first to employ and speaks very highly of it, followed by WAiTTA, Pan PRD 2014 and HKICTA 2015: Best Student Invention Award. PMT keeps optimizing the system and offering to ICT competitions to use for free as an effort to help standardize the judging criteria in ICT competitions.
