Pulse Mediatech Limited sweeps two APICTA awards

In 2011, from November 8 to 11 in Pattaya, Tailand held the 11th annual Asia Pacific Information and Communications Technology Awards (APICTA), where Hong Kong teams toped distinctively with five Grand awards and nine Merits. Among them, "JM Digital Publishing Platform" from Pulse Mediatech Limited (referred to as PMT) received two Grand Awards at the same time under the “New Media and Entertainment” and “Start-up Company” categories, becoming the first Hong Kong Company in history to win 2 APICTA awards simultaneously.

The main business that PMT executes is publishing eBooks to the masses, the company already claimed the “Best Business Grand Award” and “Best Business Gold Award” in Hong Kong ICT Awards at the beginning of this year of 2011. The company also won the APICTA Grand awards under the “New Media and Entertainment” and “Start-up Company” categories, making it the first Hong Kong Company to win in two categories the same year.

APICTA Introduction
The APICTA Awards is the most prestigious award of the industry, and candidates for the award consists of 17 groups of specialists from 16 Asia-Pacific countries, where each candidate for the awards are nominated by the APICTA economies based on the best qualifiers in local ICT competitions. Aside from PMT, the other honors were shared by Network Box Corporation Limited, TalkBox Limited and Hong Kong Baptist University.
